Our scales are certified by Weights and Measures of Chenango County, NY. Please keep in mind if the environment is damp wool has a tendency to absorb resulting in added weight to the fiber. If the environment is dry the fiber will weigh less. All of the fiber and yarn is weighed out to meet your order. We must say it is approximately the weight you have ordered to cover the variable changes in our environment.

“Aurora Borealis”

$45.00

This unique, one of a kind scarf was hand felted using the Nuno felting method. This method involves laying the wool fibers out on a silk backing, soaking with warm soapy water, and rolling by hand until the fibers migrate though the silk weave and become one. The organic edges are part of the design. Although I use the softest of wool fibers it is possible it could irrate sensitive skin with direct contact. The scarf is lightweight but provides the warmth of wool. Keep in mind the colors of the scarf as they appear on your screen may differ from the colors in reality. Slight variations can occur.

Approx 45×10 inches

cleaning instructions:

– gently hand wash in warm water with mild detergent

– squeeze out water with towel

– allow to dry flat

– steam iron if desired
